BIOGRAPHY
Born on April 6, 1994 in Villeneuve-Saint-Georges, in Val-de-Marne5, Stanislas Dinga-Pinto spent his childhood in the working-class district of Champtier-du-Coq in Évry. His pseudonym comes from the abbreviation of his first name (Stanislas) in Stani. In verlan, Stani gives Nista. But the rapper was not convinced by the result, judging it not punchy enough, too "soft"; so he replaced the t with a k. He also uses the nickname Charo, short for scavenger, to which he gives the following meaning: {{citation|Determination, you don't give up, you go all the way.
Niska got into music very early with the group Mineurs Enragés, which we remember in particular for a featuring with l'Unité de Feu, then with the group Negro Deep, which gradually built a reputation for itself in the early 2010s.
Niska ended up going solo, with a few freestyles. In the midst of trap's boom, his energy and spontaneity made the difference, and the buzz took hold very quickly thanks to the tracks Allo Maitre Simonard, Carjack Chiraq, and especially the famous Freestyle PSG, which currently has over 80 million views. Niska's gimmicks, his gestures (the charo dance), and some of his expressions are used in playgrounds and on football pitches by the biggest stars.
Signed to Barclay, Niska released his first mixtape, Charo Life, in October 2015. He announced that he hoped to get a gold record, but the numbers, frankly good for a first mixtape, were not as phenomenal as expected. The same year, he collaborated with Maitre Gims on the title Sapés comme Jamais, one of the biggest recent hits in France.
In June 2016, he followed up with his first album, Zikuforo, which also achieved a more than respectable score, but still did not constitute the expected tidal wave. A year later, he hit the jackpot with a new single, Réseaux, which broke records and remained number 1 for 11 consecutive weeks, and whose video reached nearly 250 million views. The success was such that a remix with Stefflon Don and Quavo was released. While we are beginning to wonder if Niska is not an unbeatable rapper on singles (Freestyle PSG, Sapés comme jamais, Réseaux) and less suited to long formats, the album "Commando" is released in September 2017, makes a spectacular start: gold disc in the first week, platinum disc in the second week. A year later, it even gets a diamond disc, something rare in French rap.
In September 2019, the album "Mr Sal" is released, and Niska collaborates on it in particular with Booba, Ninho, Koba LaD and Heuss l'Enfoiré. The album becomes gold disc in ten days then platinum a month after its release. In February 2020, Mr Sal is certified double platinum by exceeding the 200,000 sales mark.
Netflix announces in October 2020 that Niska, alongside Shay and SCH, will be a member of the jury of the French-language adaptation of its show Rhythm + Flow, titled Nouvelle École, scheduled for 2022. Niska being in charge of the applications for the city of Paris.
In September 2021, the album "Mr Sal" released two years earlier, was certified triple platinum by passing the 300,000 copies sold mark. True to his charo mentality, Niska had to row and work before becoming one of the superstars of music in France.
