Untouchable Miami Boss, Rick Ross returns with a brand new masterpiece.

Rick Ross is here to promote his 11th studio album, Richer Than I Ever Been, which is slated to drop Dec. 10. The project will arrive at the end of Ross’ 15th year in the industry, an impressive feat for any rapper who’s made it through the ebbs and flows of the music business. Looking back on his career so far, Rick Ross is feeling more than “pretty good” about where he’s at and where he’s going.

Born William Leonard Roberts II in Clarksdale (Mississippi) and raised in Carol City (Florida), the record executive rapper, songwriter Rick Ross is definitely one of the biggest names in the rap game. After graduating from "Miami Carol City Senior High School", Roberts attended the historically black college "Albany State University" on a football scholarship. In his early years at "Suave House Records" Roberts initially made his debut under the pseudonym 'Teflon Da Don' and made his recording debut on the song "Ain't Shhh to Discuss" on Erick Sermon's lone album for DreamWorks. In the mid-2000s, he changed his name to 'Rick Ross' which derived from the former drug kingpin "Freeway" Rick Ross. After being signed to "Suave House Records" former label for rap duo '8Ball' & ‘MJG’. Rick Ross eventually signed a deal with "Slip-n-Slide Records" which has been under the "Def Jam label" While signed to Slip-n-Slide, Rick Ross toured with fellow rapper 'Trick Daddy' and made guest performances on other "Slip-n- Slide" albums. In August 2006, Rick Ross released his debut album "Port of Miami" which debuted at the top spot on the "U.S. Billboard 200 album chart" with sales at 187,000 units during the first week, and was predicted to be the next "the summer's biggest rap record" by Christian Hoard of Rolling Stone magazine. In early 2011, Rick Ross signed 'Wale' and 'Meek Mill' to his "Maybach Music Group imprint". The group released their debut compilation album "Self Made Vol", and was named the "Hottest MC in the Game" on the next year and released his fifth studio album "God Forgives, I Don't", then he premiered four songs: "So Sophisticated" featuring 'Meek Mill' "Touch'N You" featuring 'Usher' "Hold Me Back", and "3 Kings" featuring 'Dr. Dre' and 'Jay-Z' . The album was certified gold in less than two months. To celebrate his accomplishment and promote his upcoming "MMG Tour" Rick Ross released a mixtape "The Black Bar Mitzvah", and was nominated by "The Source" as the "Man of the Year". On March, 2014, Rick Ross revealed his sixth album "Mastermind" features cameos from MMG members 'Gunplay' 'Stalley' and 'Rockie Fresh' and premiered the first official single from the album, "No Games" featuring 'Future' produced by "J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League", followed by the singles "The Devil Is A Lie" with 'Jay-Z' and "War Ready" with 'Jeezy'. Then, a few month after Rick Ross released a new album titled "Hood Billionaire" and received mixed reviews, from fans and critics alike. In September 2015, Rick Ross released his third full-length mixtape "Black Dollar" and soon he announced the release date of his eighth studio album "Black Market" which served as Rick Ross' final album for his original contract with "Def Jam". Rick Ross was active in 2016 by releasing many songs including "Make It Work" off of Self Made Vol. 4, just before he dropped his ninth studio album "Rather You Than Me" and released the first single "Florida Boy" with 'T-Pain' and 'Kodak Black'. On August 9, 2019 Rick Ross released his tenth studio album "Port of Miami 2" which included the single "Gold Roses" with 'Drake' & ”Green Gucci Suit" with 'Future'.

The big boss Rick Ross is gearing up to put another record on wax. He announced his 11th studio album, Richer Than I Ever Been, for release on Dec. 10th. The album will be distributed through Maybach Music Group, the label imprint under Atlantic Records that Ross founded in 2008. Notable artists under MMG include Wale, Meek Mill and Gunplay, each have featured extensively throughout Ross’ previous records.

The album artwork features a close-up of Ross dressed in fashionable cream attire with matching gloves covering his face, with a pale pink hat rounding out the outfit. Acclaimed hip-hop photographer Jonathan Mannion, who has shot album covers for the likes of Jay-Z, Wayne, Nas and OutKast, shot the cover for Richer Than I Ever Been.
